As a young boy growing up on a dairy farm in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, Jon developed a passion for creating with his hands. Hard work and innovation are the backbones of every farming community, and as Jon’s upbringing naturally instilled these values in him, he began looking for ways to cultivate creativity and beauty through building.

 

Jon began his professional career as a carpenter, completing custom trim and millwork projects with a friend. Here he honed his hands-on woodworking skills while learning about the homebuilding process and industry from the ground up. In 2002, Jon established Hightrim, focusing specifically on highly customized carpentry requests, such as intricate staircases. As the business grew, so did Jon’s passion for beauty and functionality in home design, and by 2008 Hightrim expanded its services to include remodeling and home renovations.

 

In 2018, Hightrim took on their first new build. This project provided the opportunity for Jon and his wife Emily to further realize and establish their vision for the company. Hightrim wasn’t just another contractor. Instead, it was a partner-in-vision, providing a personal, unique and customized home building experience. Together Jon and Emily began helping clients bring their dreams to life. No model homes, no pre-selected packages. Just creative artistry with an appreciation for space, aesthetics and function.

 

Today, Hightrim has built several beautiful custom homes and been involved in a variety of other projects, including home remodeling, commercial renovations, exterior add-ons and landscape design. Our small, focused team specializes in providing an intentionally personalized experience. We honor the creativity involved in the home building process while striving to always deliver quality and excellence in our materials, our craftsmanship, and our client relationships.
